Sleuths of the Vigilance and Anti-corruption (VAC) wing of State police on Monday carried out raids at the house of Abhisekh Dixit, the former Superintendent of Police of Krishnagiri district.
The VAC officials also raided the house of Sub-Inspector Ramachandran in Bargur after for accumulating wealth above his income levels.
A 20-member VAC team led by SP Senthilvelan and DSP Selvaraj carried out raids. They also carried out raids at the SI’s house and room in Bargur and Hosur.
While the VAC officials declined comment over the raids, sources said the raids were carried out in connection with 80 transfers of policemen in various police stations in the district when Dixit worked here as SP.
Dixit was transferred from Krishnagiri and posted as SP in Tamil Nadu Commando Force in Chennai on July 14. The VAC raid within two weeks of his transfer sent shock waves among the police circles here.
