New Delhi: Kolkata police on Tuesday arrested the prime accused in Stephen Court fire incident, in Delhi. The accused, Sanjay Bagaria who is one of the directors of Stephen Court building located at Park Street, had been absconding since March 23.
Six persons, including the three fugitive directors of Stephen Court Ltd, had been chargesheeted on June 20 in connection with the devastating fire that killed 43 people.
The persons who were chargesheeted in the civil court in Kolkata were three directors - Sanjay Bagaria, Sushil Surekha and Pradeep More, caretaker Tarun Bagadia, assistant caretaker Ramshankar Singh and liftman Jaiprakash Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Detective Department of Kolkata Police Damanyanti Sen.
