BANGALORE: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths have arrested three associates of underworld gangster Ravi Poojary and foiled a kidnap bid.
The accused have been identified as Keshav Pradeep (41), Raghavendra (30) and Narasimhamurthy (40). Police said that the arrested are the associates of Kali Yogesh and Harish Tolar who execute orders from Ravi Poojary in Bangalore. However, two other associates identified as Kumar and Dhruva managed to escape, police said. The arrest was made when the trio were waiting to kidnap and kill a citybased businessman, who had refused to pay ransom, police said. The accused used to collect details of business and family of the businessman and passed it on to Harish and Yogesh, who in turn passed it on to Ravi Poojary. Poojary then called the businessman demanding ransom.
