The court's directive came as a setback for Mani.
On Wednesday (April 6), Mani has filed a petition in the HC seeking to stay the proceedings in the bar license renewal bribery case pending against him till the Crime Branch filed an inquiry report against R. Sukeshan, Investigating Officer (IO) in the case.
Mani in his plea had said that as the investigation against vigilance SP R. Sukeshan was in progress, the proceeding against him should be suspended until the crime branch probe was over.
Sukesan was the investigating officer who carried out a probe against Mani.
