Karunanidhi elated

CHENNAI: DMK president M Karunanidhi on Monday heaved a sigh of relief over his daughter Kanimozhi getting bail in the 2G case after spending 193 days in Tihar jail and said former Telecom Minister A Raja,  who has been in the same prison for the past 300 days, has not consulted him so far on seeking bail. When asked how would he receive his daughter Kanimozhi, a visibly happy DMK chief said, “I would welcome her saying “Appaada vandhiya (Ah! You have come).”Asked whether she would be awarded a big post for undergoing tough times in prison, he said, “There is no need for according a new post for Kanimozhi just because she has undergone imprisonment ... as a father, I have expressed my happiness over...bail to Kanimozhi. Though I am heading the DMK, I am not an autocrat. Party comprises of all. As such, party alone will take any decision on this.”On whether he would urge Raja also to seek bail, he said, “If Raja asks me about this, I will convey my views.”
