BANGALORE: Legislative Council has adopted the Karnataka Janapada Vishwavidyalaya Bill-2011 replacing the ordinance which was earlier issued unanimously. Moving the Bill in the council on Friday, Higher Education Minister Dr V S Acharya said that the bill would provide the establishment and incorporation of Janapada Vishwavidyalaya the first of its kind in the world. The objective of establishing the university was to preserve folk culture.
