ISIS flags raised in Jama Masjid area of Srinagar

Srinagar: In a worrisome incident, ISIS flags were raised on Friday in the Jama Masjid area of Srinagar.

Earlier, Islamic State flags were spotted in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on the death anniversary of separatist leader Qazi Nissar Ahmad.

Groups of youth waved the flag in memory of all the local religious and separatist leaders who had been shot many years ago in mysterious circumstances.

This was the third incident reported in July which showed the growing influence of the terror organisation in the country. Many such incidents have come in the lime light since 2014 raising security concerns.
