A proposed New Education Policy (NEP) by the NDA government has brought back an age old dispute of Hindi imposition in the southern states of India. DMK has strongly opposed the proposed policy stating, it takes away the freedom from the students of South the option of selecting language they want to study. They also threatened a state-wide agitation if the policy is implemented.
