KOCHI: The staff of the High Court of Kerala have submitted a collective representation before the Acting Chief Justice demanding an inquiry into the assault on the chauffeur of a High Court Justice by a group of people and a policeman.The chauffeur, K A Hamsa, had broken the indicator of a car during a spat with the driver on Saturday night. Hamsa later boarded a bus to Aluva. The driver of the car and his friends chased the bus, blocked it and manhandled Hamsa, who was taken to the North Police Station where he was assaulted by a police officer.Later, the issue was taken to the Central Police Station as the incident had occurred in an area within its limits. There, Hamsa accepted his fault and paid Rs 1,000 in damages. He then got admitted at the Aluva Taluk Hospital and was later transferred to Lourdes Hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit.
