New Delhi: India won gold at the Commonwealth Shooting Championship in New Delhi on Friday when Gagan Narang and PT Raghunath took the top spot in the men's 10m air rifle event.
Gagan shot a score of 599 which is the new meet record while Raghunath scored 594 points.
Their score of 1193 as a pair is also a meet record. The Indian duo beat England who won silver after coming at the second spot by eight points.
Indian won another gold when Anisa Sayyed and Anuraj Singh took the first place in the 25mt sports pistol woman pairs.
Virat Singh and Bapu Vanjare won a silver in the men's 50mt free pistol pairs.
The medal won by the team of Gagan and Raghunath was India's first gold medal at the Commonwealth Shooting Championship 2010, which is being held at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range, near The Tughlaqabad Fort.
