Those whose wishes are granted return the following year with offerings such as dattis (decorations), kudukus (votive offerings), jaggery, tulsi garlands, and various other items to decorate the deity.
The villagers explain that the specialty of the Peerla festival in their villages is that, starting from the day the festival begins, the celebration lasts for about eleven days, with villagers observing fasting and Hindus and Muslims celebrating together with brotherly feelings, transcending caste and religious boundaries. The Muharram festival is celebrated differently in various regions and villages. In their village, peers such as Radhakrishnan, Vimanakasi, Hussain, and B Fatima perform the celebrations every year. The festival is set according to the lunar calendar in the month of July, with the deities being taken out, bathed in the local stream, and returned to their places.
