The Child Welfare Committee has reacted strongly to the expose.

New Delhi: The Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has reacted strongly after a CNN-IBN Special Investigation revealed how a dubious agency located in Shakoorpur area of West Delhi forces minor girls into conceiving and later sells the babies for big money.

The team exposed the racket where minor girls were trafficked from Jharkhand and West Bengal under the guise of domestic help but were being forced to conceive.

CWC has ordered the police to seal the agency premises, and confiscate all documents.

CNN-IBN spoke to Delhi's Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Dr Bharti Sharma. She said that the infant and the minor girls who were in the agency have been shifted to a safe place.

“I have asked the SP to take the 20-day old child and his mother and other four minor girls into protection, they have been moved to the Nirmal Chaya complex. There are two rackets, one is how these girls are being forced to conceive and the other involves the illegal adoption,” she said.
