How a Dramatic Police Chase Helped Nab Culprits in the RSS Worker Killing Case
The five accused in the murder of RSS worker Rajesh were taken into custody from the Neyyar dam forest area by the police after a long chase. Police got tipped off about their hideout from one of their accomplices and subsequently raided the place.

Thiruvanathapuram: A day after an RSS worker was hacked to death in Sreekariyam area of state capital, the police on Sunday nabbed the alleged culprits in a dramatic chase.

The five accused in the murder of RSS worker Rajesh were taken into custody from the Neyyar dam forest area by the police after a long chase. Police got tipped off about their hideout from one of their accomplices and subsequently raided the place.

The hideout was an old house in the middle of a forest area in Neyyar dam.

Deputy commissioner of police, Thiruvanathapuram, Arul Krishna Said,"Our teams cornered the entire area, when one team entered the house the accused ran out of the house into the forest area. Immediately, we alerted the other teams and even the locals in the area helped police."

Three of them ran out of the house and crossed a country road and entered a church, since the mass was going on they were not able to hide. The police called out to the people to block these guys and they were taken into custody.

The locals in the area helped the police nab the culprits.

The five arrested include Manikuttan, Vijith, Pramod, Abhi and Vipin.

Prime accused Manikuttan has 18 cases against him, including the attack on CPI(M) Area Secretary.

According to the police, Manikuttan and his accomplices had personal enmity with Rajesh and this led to the murder.
