KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Thursday ordered to close down Jyomon Builders Private Ltd, which had cheated around Rs 16 crore from the investors after offering flats and apartments.The court ordered to wind up the operations as the company could not repay the debts. The court has appointed advocate V Rajendran as the liquidator.The company had announced 13 projects in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram during 1996-97. Of this, five projects in Kochi and one in Thiruvananthapuram were completed. Those who had invested in three projects in Kochi completed them using their own funds.They were allotted flats as directed by the court. Passing the order, Justice S Sirijagan said that flat owners will have the sole right in those properties.The petition was filed by those who had booked the flats. The petitioners have been directed to publish the closedown notice and to give Rs 5,00,000 to the liquidator as expense.
