New Delhi: Members of the International Olympic Committee visited the Beijing Olympic Village to assess the conditions and the state of preparations for Olympics there.
The Village will host 16,000 athletes and officials during the August 2008 games, and 7,000 during the Paralympics.
Tuesday's tour was part of the 10th and final series of meetings between the Olympics Coordination Committee and Beijing organisers from April 1 to April 3.
Meanwhile, the Chinese foreign ministry says it is open to dialogue with the Dalai Lama on the condition that he stops inciting violent separatist activities.
China is facing unprecedented pressure with human rights activists planning to target the Olympic torch relay.
In India though, the Indian Olympic Association has confirmed the torch relay will go on as planned despite a boycott by football star Bhaichung Bhutia.
CNN-IBN also spoke to cricketer Saurav Ganguly about his reaction on Bhutia's decision of not carrying the Olympic torch.
“It’s his personal decision so I do not I think I should make any comment. It’s his own decision,” he said.
