BANGALORE: B S Prasad, the man who allegedly hit Minister V Somanna with a slipper in the Vidhana Soudha on Saturday, was produced before the Magistrate of the Eight Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) court on Sunday. He was remanded to police custody for three days.Police said that he was produced before the Magistrate at his residence and requested the Magistrate to remand him to police custody for further enquiry. “During interrogations he said that he was a BJP worker for 30 years and had demanded the party leaders to appoint him as the chairman of any Board of Corporations. The minister had interfered into this matter and snatched his opportunity. Angered by this and other developments, he has attacked the minister as per his statements,” the police added. Further investigations are being conducted on the matter by the police.
