Williams says he will continue as team principal and keep his majority shareholding.

London: Williams team co-founder Frank Williams will quit the board of the Formula One team at the end of the month.

Williams says he will continue as team principal and keep his majority shareholding but that he "decided to signal the next stage in the gradual but inevitable process of handing over the reins to the next generation."

Williams is 70 in April.

His daughter, Claire, will join the board from April 1 as director of marketing and communications.
