ANGUL: The State Government will soon introduce dress code for village agricultural workers (VAW). The farmers in the State will also be issued identity cards, said Agriculture Minister Pradeep Maharathy at Angul on Monday evening.
Maharathy is on a Statewide tour to get a feel of farmers' problems including distress sale, absence of marketing facilities, supply of seeds, loans and payment of compensation. He was accompanied by Agriculture Principal Secretary Rangalal Jamuda and other senior officials of his Ministry.

Farmers of all the eight blocks participated in the discussion. He promised them profarmer policies. The District Collector was, however, not present.
