In a spine-chilling incident from Karnataka’s Tumkur, a man was arrested for killing his wife after she did not serve him dinner. The man allegedly killed his wife, decapitated her and skinned her body.
The woman’s body was found lying in a pool of blood at their house and her veins and intestines were visible as her skin was peeled off by her husband.
According to media reports, the visuals showed her severed head next to her body.
Police said that the incident took place on Monday night in Huliyurudurga town of Kunigal taluk.
As per an India Today report, the accused, Shivarama worked at a sawmill and used to have regular arguments with his wife, identified as Pushpalatha.
The duo got into an argument on Monday night after the woman refused to serve dinner to her husband. The fight then escalated as they started fighting over Shivarama’s employment.
In a fit of rage, the man stabbed Pushpalatha and then used a machete to cut her head, butchering parts of her body. He then continued to skin her body till Tuesday dawn and then informed his landlord about the crime.
Their eight-year-old son was asleep at the time of the horrific act.
Tumkur Superintendent of Police Ashok Venkat told India Today, “A 35-year-old female’s body was found at the spot. Her husband was also at spot. During questioning, he confessed to the murder.”
He further said that the couple were married for 10 years and used to have minor fights.
“Yesterday they had a fight over employment issues. He killed his wife and informed his employer. They immediately informed us. We have sent the body for post-mortem,” the cops said.
