Engineer held for harassing ex-fiancee

HYDERABAD: Cyber Crime police on Saturday arrested a 24yearold youth for posting morphed pictures of his exfiance on social networking sites and harassing her.K Deepak, an engineer and resident of Visakhapatnam, got engaged to a girl with the consent of both of their parents. But soon after, he started suspecting her, due to which the girl broke off the engagement. The accused then allegedly created fake profiles on social networking sites and uploaded photos.Based on a complaint filed by the girls father, Cyber Crime police registered a case under section 66A IT (Amendment) Act 2008 and IPC Section 507 (Criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication. Deepak was arrested Saturday, his laptop seized and was sent to judicial remand.
