Meaning of GodNo one in fact. I don’t look up to anyone. Because I don’t want anyone to give me answers or guide me. This is my life and I need to take control of whatever happens. However, there is nothing wrong in believing in God. We all need support, not because we are weak, but for emotional bonding. There is something you need to relate to in life. It differs from person to person and for me, I fall back on myself for anything. If there is an issue in my life, I know there is no God to support. I don’t go around searching for answers from Him/Her. I would have to do it myself as I don’t have the time to sit back and talk to someone about my problems. Spiritual beliefI only believe in harmony with everyone. If you do some good to others, you will get your returns one day. I don’t believe in talking about karma and godly powers. Because, at the end of the day, what has to happen will happen. For instance, if you believe that there is someone in the room, you tend to turn around and talk, but if you don’t believe, then you need to push yourself to do your deeds.Understanding of GodTill I was 13 years of age, I followed my parent’s religious path. But once I started questioning myself about these beliefs, I realised that there is no such thing as God. Of course, my parents were upset and most of them thought I was influenced by someone. There are different religions and you are being bombarded with them from the day you’re born. Our society has been defined in such a way that we all have to follow some spiritual power because, we don’t encourage thinking and questioning. As far as I’m concerned, I feel that one is in-charge of his life and he has to handle and control it. Once you understand that, there is nothing to feel sad about. Belief in miraclesI had a tough early life and nothing happened the way I wanted. So, I had to struggle until I succeeded. It was all my hardwork so I don’t see any miracles here. Pilgrimage sitesI do visit temples and churches mainly for the architecture. I have done a couple of shoots there, and I love learning about archeology. That’s all. However, I don’t disapprove of the belief that others have in religious sites. We need temples because people can’t handle themselves if such religious places don’t exist.
