Using horses without permission and now shooting in a border area, controversies are just not leaving Drona.

Jaipur: Using horses without permission and now shooting in a border area, controversies just don't seem to leave director Goldie Behl, who has been camping in Rajasthan's Bikaner town to shoot his Abhishek Bachchan starrer Drona.

Behl's unit, which includes a few foreigners, was shooting in the sensitive Sujrada village, near Agneyu, about 170 km from the Pakistan border.

"Based on newspaper reports we had sought details from the local coordinator of the film unit about where the shooting is taking place," additional district magistrate of Bikaner, R J Meena said.

Luckily for Behl, it was all above board.

According to a Bikaner district administration official, the unit had taken permission. He said they were not able to distinguish between Sujrada and Agneyu as there is no demarcation between them.

"The film unit has filed a reply and we are satisfied with it," the official added.

The entry of foreigners in these places is restricted.

A couple of days ago, shooting had to be stopped when some sets were damaged due to thunderstorms and before that, the Animal Welfare Board of India, a unit of the Union Environment and Forest Ministry, had raised objections over the use of horses in the movie without taking prior permission.

What's your reaction?
