HYDERABAD: An auto driver suspected to have killed two women in the forest area of Vanasthalipuram, was arrested by the police on Wednesday. The accused, Munavath Ravi (26), hails from Damaracherla mandal of Nalgonda district. After his first wife deserted him, he married another woman and has three children. “Ravi was in debt and he committed offences for easy money,’’ Vanasthalipuram police inspector R Ravinder Reddy said.Ravi used to pick up women at labour addas on the pretext of providing them labour work. He used to make them consume alcohol and as they fall unconscious, take them to forest area on the outskirts, kill them and rob them of their valuables.Ravi picked up a 35-year-old woman D Jangamma from Saroornagar labour adda, took her to the reserve forest area at Turkayamjal and throttled her to death and robbed her silver anklets and a mobile phone. Another woman, Acchali of Mahabubnagar was killed in a similar manner. A special police team was formed, which caught Ravi at Vanasthalipuram.
