Don't forget 'Malegaon Ka Superman' for 'RA.One'
Don't forget 'Malegaon Ka Superman' for 'RA.One'
Filmmakers have always tried to come up with good superhero ideas but the quest did not end before 'Krrish'.

New Delhi: It's understandable when Shah Rukh Khan says that he is worried about the performance of 'RA.One'. After all, the film is made at a huge budget and losing even 5% of the cost will make things difficult for producers.

The teasers of 'RA.One' have already created a big buzz in the market and people are looking forward to it in this festive season, in the hope of getting another genuine Indian superhero after 'Krrish'.

Filmmakers have always tried to come up with good superhero ideas but somehow the quest did not end before 'Krrish'. Now, 'RA.One' is all set to take the superhero films to a new level.

However, there are enthusiastic producers who have negligible resources but still high on hopes. They also do their bit to promote superhero films. Occasionally, they come up with films such as 'Malegaon Ka Superman' and 'Indian Superman' to make their contribution felt.

These films by small time makers are nowhere close to 'RA.One' or 'Krrish' in their production values, but still they cater to an audience base completely alien than the typical urban multiplex going crowd.

On one hand, 'RA.One' flaunts its mega star cast while on the other; 'Malegaon Ka Superman' relies on its local cast.

The name of Shah Rukh Khan is magnetic enough to get any film a good opening; still the filmmaker is not ready to take any risk. The public relation team of the film has designed innovative campaigns to promote the film. The market is full of 'RA.One' franchises and is expected to see some more before the film releases.

On the contrary, films as 'Malegaon Ka Superman' generally don't get budget more than the salary of top PR people working for films like 'RA.One'. They show trust on their product and niche audience base.

Leave apart the grandeur generated via cutting edge animation techniques, 'Malegaon Ka Superman' can't even boast of good chroma techniques. Sometimes bad chroma techniques just refuse to be the life saver. 'Malegaon Ka Superman' was no exception either. Though the director had tried but the flying scenes looked funny.

Probably the director of 'Malegaon Ka Superman' will make better looking films if provided with a good budget but that acts as no constraint as far as they are making films as per their wishes.

It's the undying love for the film which keeps people motivated to make films like 'Malegaon Ka Superman' and 'Adrishya Maseeha'.

However, it does not mean that the makers of 'Ra.One' lack the love for cinema. In fact, good money to back their film up makes them dream higher than predecessors.
