Divers locate US Airways' engine in River Hudson
The damaged engine was located at 60 feet in River Hudson.

New Delhi: A week after an US Airways plane crash-landed in New York's River Hudson, salvage teams have been able to locate the missing engine which detached from the aircraft on impact.

The damaged engine was located by US army at the depth of 60 feet in River Hudson.

A private contractor pulled up the engine. Divers confirmed the location of the wreckage after which it was gently hoisted by salvage crews.

It will now be taken to New Jersey where the National Transportation and Safety Board is inspecting the rest of the plane and trying to detect what went wrong.
