Distribution of rice at Re 1 per kg

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Transport Minister V S Sivakumar will inaugurate the Thiruvananthapuram  constituency level distribution of rice under one rupee scheme on Sunday, 10.30 am  at Poonthura St.Philominas school. Under this scheme more than 7,000 BPL card holders will get 25 kilogram of rice at a rate of one rupee per kilogram. The scheme will benefit another 2860 AAY card holders who will get 35 kilogram of rice at one rupee per kilogram. The orphanages registered with the government will also receive rice at the same rate.
