CHENNAI: Dismissing reports of a possible a kidney transplant for the Superstar, son-in-law and actor Dhanush said on Tuesday that Rajinikanth would be back within 10 days. Describing the speculation in a section of the media over renal transplant as a joke, he said the actor’s health was fine.The Superstar has been in hospital for the past month for respiratory and gastrointestinal disorders. Four days ago, he went to Singapore for further treatment and got himself admitted at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital. Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan had recommended the hospital to Rajini’s wife Latha. Though doctors there said he would be fit to return within four days, “we want him to stay in Singapore for at least a week so that he has more privacy. He is on a normal diet, is cheerful and is spending time walking, watching films and meditating,” Dhanush said. Claiming ignorance about the specific reason for the ailment, Dhanush said it had, however, been diagnosed and was a reversible health problem. Rajini had recovered from his respiratory infections long ago, he clarified. On returning to India, Rajini will have to decide about his acting, he added, reiterating that he will act in Rana.“The Superstar’s health condition is super, and if he doesn’t return in 10 days, it means he is enjoying a vacation there,” he quipped.
