Delhi: Metro smart cards may soon be used in buses
Urban Development Secretary Sudhir Krishna said the aim is to allow commuters to make all kinds of payment through one card.

New Delhi: Very soon, Delhi Metro commuters can use their 'smart cards' for travel in DTC and cluster bus services in the city that would eventually be integrated with the national common mobility card.

The step would help commuters use all kinds of transport in the city with one single card and make payments through that.

To facilitate its implement, a series of high-level meetings have taken place at the level of Union Urban Development Secretary and Principal Secretary of the Delhi Government's Transport Department.

Urban Development Secretary Sudhir Krishna told reporters on Tuesday that the 'More' cards will be introduced initially in the cluster buses and later in buses run by the Delhi Transport Corporation.

He said the aim is to allow commuters to make all kinds of payment through one card, but it would be done in a phased manner.
