Negligence on part of Delhi Development Authority & a petrol pump owner allegedly led to an eight year old boy's death.The boy was found dead in a DDA park in Delhi's Seelampur area.
His body was found in a six feet deep crater which was allegedly dug by the petrol pump owner to collect water from his petrol pump. The child was missing since Tuesday night. Police has registered a case of negligence against DDA & the petrol pump owner a probe has also been ordered.
The boy had gone out with his friends on Tuesday evening and never returned home after having lost his life by slipping into a deep crater. The complaint was filed by the parents later that evening when the boy did not return home. Investigations are underway. This comes as a bad news for not just the family who lost their child but also DDA. Case has been registered against unknown people but that does not absolve DDA. The land where the incident took place, is owned by DDA authorities, so the DDA will be held responsible for this, said the police officials.
The negligence is underscored all the more because the issue of this deep crater and the accidents it could lead to was brought to the notice of the concerned authorities by the locals a few days before this incident took place. The probe is underway as the locals expect an action to be taken against the guilty DDA officials.
