Court directs CB-CID to produce Madhani

COIMBATORE: A court here on Saturday  directed the CB-CID to produce People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairman Abdul Nasser Madhani on December 10. The SIT of CB-CID had sought his custody in a case relating to planting bombs in front of Coimbatore Press Club. While the court earlier directed the police to produce him on Saturday, Mahdani refused to travel from Bangalore, where he is currently jailed, due to health reasons.On Saturday, the police sought Judicial Magistrate 3 another date to produce the accused. The magistrate directed the police to produce him on December 10. Police sources said they have to repeatedly ask for extension of date to produce the accused due to his non-cooperation.
