Dinakaran will be questioned by the Crime Branch for the third straight day on Monday. During Sunday’s questioning, which ended at 1am, police reportedly confronted Dinakaran with the evidence.
He had come under scanner after the arrest of alleged middleman Sukesh Chandrasekar.
A powerful section of the ruling AIADMK (Amma) recently revolted against the Sasikala-Dhinakaran leadership.
The development came after Panneerselvam, who is leading the rival faction, demanded ouster of Sasikala and Dinakaran as a condition for the merger.
