HYDERABAD: The ruling party’s bypoll campaign will have a flamboyant look with the heavyweights of the party being all set to hit the campaign trail.The Congress, which is locked in a fierce battle to win the bypolls, has decided to utilise the services of all the star campaigners of the party on the second leg of electioneering.Apart from AICC general secretary and Union minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, AICC emissary and Union minister Vayalar Ravi, Union minister from the state D Purandeswari and Rajya Sabha member and AICC spokesperson Renuka Chowdary will also participate in the electioneering. Azad, who will arrive at Tirupati on June 3 from Delhi, will tour constituencies till June 5. Along with chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana and Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi, he will address election meetings in the Tirupati Assembly and Nellore Lok Sabha constituencies on June 3; at Ongole, Rayachoti and Allagadda on June 4 and 5 respectively. AICC emissary and Union minister Vayalar Ravi will arrive on June 5 to join the campaigning. Purandeswari will kick-start her campaign on June 1 from Allagadda in Kurnool district. From June 2 to 9 she would address meetings in Railway Koduru, Ramachandrapuram, Ongole, Nellore, Prattipadu, Narasannapeta and Payakaraopeta constituencies.During her two-day campaigning, Renuka Choudary would campaign in Tirupati and Nellore on Wednesday; and in Ongole on Thursday.Kiran Kumar Reddy, Satyanarayana and Chiranjeevi will intensify their campaign from Thursday.The PCC chief, who has taken a break, will resume canvassing at Ramachandrapuram on Thursday and carry it on in Narsapuram and Payakaraopeta on June 4, 5 and 6 respectively. The chief minister will hit the road on Thursday at Narsapuram and address public meetings in Payakaraopeta and Narsannapeta on June 1 and 2 respectively; in Ongole and Rayachoti on June 4; in Allagadda on June 5; in Polavaram on June 6; and in Yemmiganuru on June 8.Chiranjeevi will resume canvassing from Tirupati on Thursday and tour Payakaraopeta on June 1; Macherla, Prattipadu, Narsapuram, Ramachandrapuram and Polavaram from June 6 to 9.The PCC chief said they would target Jagan during the second leg of campaigning.
