HYDERABAD: Patil Neeraja Reddy, Congress MLA from Aluru, reportedly washed the dirty linen before chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy when he called a meeting of MLAs and ministers of Kurnool district ahead of his visit to the district on June 25.Neeraja Reddy, who has a running feud with Kurnool MP Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy, built a strong case against him. Two ministers from the district - TG Venkatesh and Eerasu Pratap Reddy - and minister in charge of the district Shatrucharla Vijayarama Raju were also present at the meeting where the agenda was to discuss the issues in various constituencies in the district.According to sources, Neeraja Reddy told the chief minister how Surya Prakash Redy had been creating problems to her at every stage which forced her to resign. The chief minister told her that he would sort out the problem soon.Neeraja Reddy and Surya Prakash Reddy have not been seeing eye to eye after the MP propped a candidate against her in 2009 elections with an intention to defeat her. Neeraja Reddy managed to win the election with a narrow margin and ever since the rivalry between the two leaders was only becoming more pronounced. Her complaint against the Kurnool MP is that he is using his influence to ensure that none of her requests to officials are entertained. “If the MP continues to act this way, sabotaging whatever I am trying to do for my workers, how can I function as an MLA? As Congress MP he should help my workers and not do harm to them just because they are with me,” she argues.
