HYDERABAD:Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will formally launch the muchpublicised 'Mee Seva' centre in Tirupati at 12.05 p.m on Friday. Under the novel scheme, citizens would be offered 12 basic services electronically like birth, income, residence and caste certificates. The scheme will be launched on a pilot basis in Chittoor and Krishna districts.According to officials, Mee Seva centres would replace eSeva, APOnline centres and Common Service Centres in these districts. All certificates would be issue within 30 days after a proper enquiry. 'Mee Seva' aims to add efficiency, convenience and transparency in delivery of government services.Mee Seva will first start with 12 services relating to revenue and registration departments and later will offer over 50 services covering most of the departments that have citizen interface within the next few months. The state government has simplified the procedures to deliver certificates like Adangal/ROR1B, residence certificate, income certificate, and registration certificate without any hassles. It has also promulgated a new set of rules directing all government departments to publish their deadline for delivering citizens services electronically by April next year.IT minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah said that the uniqueness of Mee Seva is that statutory certificates can be delivered over private kiosks through the use of digital signatures and printing on security paper. "It is the first time in the country that such an innovative use of technology is being made to help the common man through Mee Seva. The authenticity and genuineness of the certificates issued through Mee Seva can be verified electronically at any point of time," the minister said.Meanwhile, chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy will leave for Renigunta from Begumpet airport by special flight at 9.15 a.m. tomorrow and reach there by 10.15 am. He would straightaway proceed to Padmavathi Guest House. The Mee Seva programme will be launched at 12.05 p.m. at the Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati.
