HYDERABAD: The strike by Telangana employees had its impact on the Secretariat here on Tuesday. With employees forming a human chain blocking the entry gate, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's motorcade had to make a Uturn and enter the Secrtariat through the Exit gate.
Earlier, minister for animal husbandry P Viswarup did not to get down from his vehicle near the DBlock and made a retreat on seeing the striking employees shout proTelangana slogans. At around noon, several members belonging to Telangana employees JAC went into the DBlock building and went round various departments appealing to their Telangana colleagues on duty to abandon work and join the strike. After coming out, they started shouting "Jai Telangana' slogans.At this juncture, minister Viswarup's vehicle came near them. The minister who hails from Andhra, returned quietly. At about 1 pm, hundreds of staff gathered behind the JBlock and proceeding to the entry gate where they formed a human chain. At this juncture, the chief minister's convoy reached the Secretariat.
