Brothers fall into sump, one dies

BANGALORE: A 7-year-old boy drowned in a sump while playing with his brother outside their house at Heggadevanapura in Madanayakanahalli police limits on Wednesday morning.The deceased has been identified as Shivaraj. He and his brother Manju slipped and fell into a water sump of an under construction building while playing.A man who found the brothers falling in the sump rescued the duo and rushed to the hospital. But Shivaraj died on the way to the hospital and the condition of Manju is critical, police said. The Madanayakanahalli police has registered an unnatural death case and investigating it.
