Boy crushed under wheels of tanker

HYDERABAD: A two year old boy who was playing in front of his house was crushed to death under the wheels of a water tanker near his residence at Balapur village on Tuesday. The incident took place in Roshan Dowla area under the Pahadi Shareef police limits.
Pahadi Shareef police subinspector V Eshwaraiah said that a water tanker provided by the municipal authorities supplies water to the locality daily. At 8.45 a.m on Tuesday, the water tanker driver came to the locality and supplied water. While he was returning through the lanes of the village, he drove the vehicle over a boy without noticing him playing in front of his house. The boy, Vamsi Krishna, came under the wheels of the tanker and died instantly. The driver fled from the spot.
