Williams chief race engineer Xevi Pujolar said that rookie racer Valtteri Bottas is a more versatile driver than team-mate Pastor Maldonado.
Bottas secured a third place on the grid at the rain-hit Canadian GP qualifying session in Montreal while Maldonado could only line-up in 13th.
Pujolar believes that both drivers have similar styles but Bottas has the ability of be quick in most conditions.
Williams didn't have a good start in 2013 season, with the duo failing to pick up a single point for their team. However, Bottas managed to qualify third in Canada, and Pujolar believes that the Finn is showing a greater ability to adapt.
"You could say that they're both quite aggressive," Pujolar is quoted by ESPN.
"Pastor is a bit more specific and Valtteri I would say maybe is able to adapt himself more towards what is happening at each moment, but they are both quite aggressive" Pujolar said.
"At the same time then in the race both can be quite similar looking after the tyres, it's just that Pastor has got some requirements that would sometimes give him an advantage in qualifying it's just that he needs to feel it", he said.
"All the problems we had with the car we were struggling more with him than with Valtteri, but now with all the improvements we are doing with the car is just to go in one direction and both drivers asked to go in the same direction with the car," he added.
