Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shaina NC has sought permission from Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan to put up Prime Minister Narendra Modi's posters in all prominent public places as per the norms.

The governor has agreed to the BJP's demand but has insisted that the PM's photograph should come from the Prime Minister's office to maintain a uniformity at all places.

Shaina NC had met the Governor along with other party leaders Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Raj Purohit, Pratapbhai Ashar and Shri Niranjan Shetty.

The governor was also apprised of the "Swachch Mumbai Abhiyaan", a project in line with Modi's vision. The leaders sought cooperation from NGOs and urged all government organisations to get involved with the project.
