'Biutiful' proved to be the most popular film as more than thousand
people gathered outside screen 3 of PVR cinemas well before the time
of the show. But some people had better ideas. They sat in the theatre
hall for the earlier film and stayed put for 'Biutiful'. This created a
lot of confusion and finally in a fight of sorts. The festival
director, Shrinivasan Narayan first requested and then threatened the
people in the auditorium to get out. But the passionate audience
refused to budge. In fact, even the police was called in to help keep the matter from going out of hand.
Finally they had to give in and let people be seated and watch the
movie. As a result of this scuffle, the film started about an hour
late. Directors Rohan Sippy, Vivek Agnihotri etc were part of the
audience. To keep his audience happy, the director has promised two more screenings of the film today.
