Four more live bombs have been recovered in the court premises and are being defused.

Patna: A crude bomb exploded inside the Hajipur court premises in Vaishali district of Bihar on Tuesday injuring a lady constable. Taking advantage of the chaos following the blasts, an under trial Sant Lal escaped from the court premises.

Four more live bombs have been recovered from a bag in the court premises and have been defused. Police teams have been formed to nab the culprits and to arrest the escaped under trial.

According to the police several prisoners had been brought to the Hajipur court in connection with their cases on Tuesday. When the prisoners were being transferred to the lockup in the court, two people threw crude bombs resulting in the injury to a constable. Sant Lal, too, escaped soon after the explosion.

The officials add that the two people who threw the bombs were present inside the court premises before the prisoners were brought. Police officials are also taking a headcount of all the prisoners.

The explosion comes days after multiple blasts in the Mahabodhi temple in Bodh Gaya.
