The day four of the Bengaluru Habba witnessed performances by legends in the field of dance and music. At Chitrakala Parishath, celebrated saxophonist and one of the pioneers of Carnatic music, Dr Kadri Gopalnath took the audience on a mesmerising journey of music, as was evident from the rounds of spontaneous applause from the audience.Performing to a packed audience who were completely enthralled by the legendry artist, Dr Kadri Gopalnath made the audience sway and sing along to his distinct tunes.Dr Padma Subramanyam, renowned Indian classical dancer and choreographer moved the audiences with her poignant Bharatanatyam performance. Proving yet again to be the Goddess of dance with her own dance compositions and individual style, her performance bore the imprint of her expertise as a dancer, musician, scholar, choreographer and author.Ace Kuchipudi dancer Prateeksha Kashi’s endeavour to discover the spirit that has kept alive a tradition of Kuchipudi, beautifully blended with the evening that witnessed performances by greats.A beautiful rendition by Carnatic vocalist, Madhavi Ganesh Prasad at the Chitrakala Parishath highlighted the rich spirituality in one of the oldest and well developed music systems in the world. All attendees of her Carnatic music concert were enchanted by her passionate and perfect interpretation of ragas and kritis.The jazz and rock festival continued to draw music lovers to UB City. Bangalore based band, Fahrenheit which played various sub- genres of rock included hard rock, progressive rock and metal, proved why they have become one of the most successful bands in the city.  Another Bangalore based band with an intelligent sense of humor, Live Banned entertained the audiences with their flamboyant performance, which included their original tunes in English, Tamil and even Hindi.At Ravindra Kalakshetra, C N Ramachandra designed and presented a comprehensive recitation of Jnanapeeta awardee Dr Chandrashekara Kambara’s poetry. The recitation was coordinated by Vatsala Mohan. Alliance Francaise De Bangalore witnessed the screening of some of the most brilliant movies made by the golden man of Kannada Films — Shri Girish Kasaravalli. Titled Kasaravalli Connect, Bengaluru Habba paid a tribute to the cinematic excellence of the only director to have the distinction of winning the Swarnakamal or the Golden-lotus award four times.
