BBMP to felicitate Kambar

BANGALORE: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will felicitate Jnanpith awardee Dr Chandrashekhar Kambar on November 28.According to sources, the felicitation will included `2 lakh cash prize. The programme is said to be held at the glass house on BBMP premises. Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda is expected to take part in the programme. Mayor Sharadamma and a BBMP delegation met the Chief Minister on Monday for his confirmation.  When contacted, the Mayor said that they had invited Kambar for felicitation a few days ago and he has agreed. “We are discussing the other details on Wednesday,” she added.
