The Kukatpally police on Wednesday arrested six persons including a Bangladeshi national and a woman in connection with the circulation of counterfeit Indian currency notes. They seized a total counterfeit currency notes of face value of Rs 2 lakh in the denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 from the accused.
Police also suspect that the some terror groups might have been involved behind the gang’s operations. Acting on a tip off, police raided a Kukatpally pan shop and held the accused who were circulating fake currency notes.
