BANGALORE: Fight against corruption and protest against Anna Hazare’s arrest continued on day three at Freedom Park in the city. Over hundreds of Bangaloreans kept streaming in at the venue with each passing hour, with the student crowd recording the highest participation.Certain educational institutions in the city declared a holiday and even provided transportation facilities to their students. During the later half of the day, corporate honchos were seen  participating in large numbers.Eminent personalities like Kannada actor Shivraj Kumar, former Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar addressed the gathering on Thursday.Freedom fighter Doreswamy (93), also addressed the gathering and said, “This is the right time to protest against the government and corrupt politicians who have degenerated the country to the maximum extent. Citizens have to question and criticise the government as they are insecure with the lack of transparency in the governance of the country. Only the youth can save the nation through mass agitation and revolution.”Syed Ahmed, a social worker who was fasting for the last three days requested citizens not to bribe government officials no matter what.Health issuesThere are about 80 people fasting since Tuesday, including 20, who joined the fast on Thursday. Doctors present at the venue said that until now there have been no casualties reported, but there are cases of deteriorating blood pressure (BP).There are four doctors everyday on a three hour shift and at night two doctors are deputed to monitor the health of the people fasting.
