New Delhi: Asus has introduced three new tablet PCs - Fonepad 8, MeMO Pad 8, MeMO Pad 7. The Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) is an 8-inch tablet with built-in 3G connectivity and phone functionality. It has a 5.06mm bezel, 1280x800 IPS display and 72.2 per cent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood is the latest 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 1.8GHz quad-core processor. The device has dual front speakers.
MeMO Pad 7 (ME176C) has a 7-inch display and is equippped with dual-channel stereo speakers with SonicMaster technology. Support for Miracast lets MeMO Pad 7 stream video in high-definition to a compatible TV or other display, while aptX CSR Bluetooth technology enables wireless streaming of high-quality audio to headphones and other supported devices. MeMO Pad 7 comes equipped with a 5-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. MeMO Pad 7 is powered by an 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor (up to 1.86GHz).
MeMO Pad 8 is claimed to be the world's lightest 8-inch LTE tablet that has 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 2.3GHz quad-core processor. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a Full HD IPS display which is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for scratch resistance and durability. It weighs 299g and is only 7.45mm thick.
There is no word on the availability of these devices. The company says, Product availability varies by country.
