CHENNAI: Rajinimania, it would seem, never subsides.Fans of the matinee idol seem to be standing by for the slightest opportunity to pay their obeisances to their Super star. Sunday was the 32nd wedding anniversary of Rajinikanth and his wife Latha, and fans decided to mark the occasion by releasing an anthology of poems about the actor. The book, Jeeva Nadhi, was released by veteran Tamil film director SP Muthuraman and the first copy was received by producer Kalaipuli S Thanu at Albert Theatre on Sunday morning.“A book full of poems about Rajninikanth is a great idea. It is not just for you to read, but for all of you to learn how to have a happy married life,” said Muthuraman.Thanu recalled his long association with Rajinikanth and praised him for his patience and helping nature. “I was the first to use the title ‘Superstar’ for Rajinikanth. The first film I produced was a Rajinistarrer,” he said. He recalled instances when the star had come to his help in times of distress. The poems have been written by S Rajapandi Durai, M Mahesh and TJ Balamurugan, and translated into English by Tamilchelvan, with design by K Ponnan. The team said that they undertook the project to spread the word about Rajinikanth’s goodness to all his fans.
