CHENNAI: The annual Cado Fiesta organised by the Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU) was held on March 3 and 4 on the college premises. The students belonging to the National Cadet Corps companies from over eight colleges across the city attended and participated in the various events. Some of the participating institutions were Ethiraj College, Presidency College, Loyola College, AM Jain College and Guru Nanak College among others.Each college had around 30 to 40 cadets competing in the cultural and drill events. The drill events that were conducted included Contingent, Guard and Individual Drill, Kholna Jodhna and debate. Also, a five km and four km cross country race was conducted for men and women, respectively.Cultural events such as group song, solo dance, group dance and skit were also conducted.AM Jain College bagged the first prize in the Contingent Drill and Guard Drill Competition. The overall trophy for best performance was given to Loyola College.Prizes were distributed at the valedictory function held on Sunday by Lt Col Raja, 1 TN Battalion OC. The even was also attended by TNDALU Registrar Prof Dr D Gopal, Chief of Examinations of TNDALU Prof Dr Vincent Kamaraj and Director of School of Excellence in Law Prof Dr MS Soundarapandian.
