WARANGAL/KARIMNAGAR/ SANGAREDDY: Responding to the TJAC's call, Telangana activists participated in 'Telangana sticker campaign' and replace Andhra Pradesh with Telangana on all the boards at government offices in the region on Monday.WARANGAL: Telangana supporters wrote Telangana in place of Andhra Pradesh on boards at government offices at the district headquarters and all mandal headquarters.They also stuck TG (Telangana) stickers in the place of AP on number plates of vehicles.The boards at APSRTC depots were rewritten as TGSRTC.Painters from the region participated actively in the programme.Telangana Graduates Association president Marri Yadava Reddy, TRS students wing president Indla Nageswara Rao and others also participated.Speaking on the occasion, Nageswara Rao criticised the government for not taking any initiative in resolving the Telangana tangle even when people in the region were staging agitations for the cause."Instead of begging the Centre for according statehood to Telangana, we have decided to ourselves declare as a separate state," he said and urged people to consider the region as a separate entity.KARIMNAGAR: TRS leaders led by MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao pasted Telangana stickers on boards at all government offices in the district headquarters.Leaders of the separatist party stuck Telangana stickers on the doors of all cabins of officers in the collectorate.In the afternoon, Telangana student JAC leaders pasted T-state stickers on APSRTC signboards at Karimanagar bus station.Speaking to mediapersons, the TRS MLC said Telanganites were seeking separation from Andhra Pradesh following injustice done to them by Seemandhra leaders in the past. The campaign, he said, was taken up to motivate people in the region to fight for separate Telangana.On rejection of resignations by the Assembly Speaker, the MLC said it was unconstitutional."The TRS leaders put in their papers again," he said and demanded that the elected representatives of the Congress and TDP should also follow suit.Earlier, the TRS activists pasted 'TG' stickers on the number plates of all government vehicles.SANGAREDDY: TRS activists participated in the TG sticker campaign in various places in Medak district including the district headquarters, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Medka, Gajwel, Ramayampet, Patancheru and Zaheerabad.In Gajwel and Zaheerabad, police took the Telangana activists participating in the campaign into custody and later released them.
