HYDERABAD: Congress People's representatives in Telangana became prime targets of T activists on Thursday as part of TJAC's call to lay siege to the houses of people's representatives who did not resign to their posts for the cause of T. The agitators attacked the vehicles of Congress leaders and besieged their houses demanding their resignations.Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy once again had to taste the wrath of proT activists who obstructed his vehicle at Chandur in Nalgonda district demanding his resignation. BJP and ABVP activists hurled eggs and stones at the minister's vehicle. However, Venkata Reddy's aides came to his rescue and attacked the T activists leading to clashes between the two groups. The police rushed to the spot and caned the agitators and the minister continued his forward journey.
Though more than 1,000 T activists planned to obstruct the minister's convoy on his return journey, the police managed to avert the situation by diverting the minister's convoy to another route.In a similar attempt, the Telangana advocates tried to lay siege to the house of minister D Nagender but were obstructed by the police. The minister asked the agitators to ask TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and TJAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram to quit before asking targeting the Congress leaders.

The protestors also tried to storm the houses of minister V Sunitha Laxma Reddy, MLAs Nandeeswar Goud, Manemma, Koona Srisailam Goud, Raji Reddy and several others. However, the police obstructed them and took them into custody. The agitators also ransacked the office of the District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) at Nalgonda and the electricity board office at Tandur in Rangareddy district.

Health services were severely disrupted in Warangal after doctors of both government and private hospitals boycotted duties except for emergency services.
